Google Analytics

 

datapine enables a fast and easy access to your metrics from Google Analytics. Follow the instructions below to learn how to connect your Google Analytics account to datapine.

 

1. Click on Connect in the upper navigation bar.

 

2. In the data source overview screen click on the button ADD DATA SOURCE in the top left corner.

 

3. In the Data Sources overview, click on the Google Analytics to start our Google Analytics connector.

4. You will be redirected to the Google Account Login screen. Please login with the email address and password of your Google Analytics Account.

Note: If Google bypasses the sign-in screen and goes directly to the approval screen shown in the next step, it means you are already signed in to a Google account. If you are signed in, make sure you are using the account that provides access to your Google Analytics information.

 

5. Please Accept the request for permission and allow datapine to access your Google Analytics account.

6. In the next screen you will be asked to provide the following information. 

 

Account ID: Choose the account ID of the account that you wish to connect from the dropdown list.

 

Web Property ID: Select the corresponding Web Property ID from the dropdown menu.

 

Profile ID: Choose the Profile ID from the dropdown list.

Please click on NEXT to continue with the connection setup.

 

7. All tables and fields associated with your Google Analytics Account will now appear on the right side of the screen. Select the tables and data fields from your Google Analytics Account that you wish to integrate by clicking the check box next to the table and field names.

We automatically deselect fields that do not contain values. If you want to import all data fields, you can deselect empty fields anytime at a later stage.

 

Note: Some dimensions and measures cannot be used together. See the Google Analytics Reference documentation

 

8. Once you have selected all relevant tables and fields click on Save and Finish.

 

9. After the setup of you Google Analytics connection was successful, you will get a notification. Click on Ok and you will be redirected to the dashboard overview.
