Create a Standard Report

In this section, we will show you how to set up a Standard Report in datapine to automatically deliver your dashboards directly to your recipient’s inbox.

Note: If you have any active filters on your dashboard, then the current filter settings will apply to the report as well. We recommend creating a copy of your dashboard that will be used as the template for your report to avoid filter conflicts.

1. Access the REPORTS overview via the toolbar.

2. Click on Create new report to add a new report template to your report overview.

4. The report template consists of three areas that will require your input. The first section contains the Recipients and Email details. In this section, you will be asked to define a report title, select the recipients to whom the report will be sent to and include a subject and message that will be sent along with the dashboard attachment.

5. In the Content section, you may now select the dashboard or tab that you wish to include in your email report. You may also define the time frame for which the export will be created, as well as the format of the export: Excel, CSV, PDF or PNG. Please note, you will need to have an active time filter on your dashboard to be able to define a reporting time frame.

8. Finally, click on Save to create your report. Now, your report is all set up and ready to be sent out fully automated at the scheduled time and interval.

Tip:

We recommend to always send yourself a test report before saving and activating a report. This helps you to avoid any inconvenience by making sure that you only share information that are intended for the recipients.
